I love music with all my heart, I have for as long as I can remember. I have many different influencers on my taste, whether it be the constant 80s synth played by my mother, 70s rock from my father or artists and genres I stumbled upon on my own. This is my place to share my taste in music that can not be replicated by no other.

YEAH
Tbh I hear of a lot of new music through the internet, but every now and then, I hear a musical gem playing on Channel [v]. I usually leave Channel [v] playing all day just to bring some music to the appartment, when chilling or studying (w/e) and whilst studying for my economics final i heard something so refreshing, so ethereal, so exquisite oh my god, I heard Tennis Court by Lorde. Now I did some sleuthing on Lorde because I was like "who is she why haven't I heard of her before why why why?" turns out Lorde aka Ella Yelich-O'Connor is fresh on the scene, having released her debut EP The Love Club online in december last year with The Tennis Court EP being released 22 July this year... and get this: She is 16 years old and is currently IN YEAR 12. Props to you babe, seriously I have the maddest luv 4 u. So anyway, Tennis Court came on Channel [v] and I was mesmerised. Check out the video for yourself, it'll leave you mesmerised too...
Okay so firstly, the song is perfect. Like it combines all the best things about music and ends up being something so fresh and unlike anything i've ever heard (no wonder Grimes likes her too). Then the video! Omfg like I actually love the fact that it's just a straight shot of Lorde herself, doing her thang being like some amazing ethereal angel alien babe. The video seems simplistic on the surface, but there is a deeper complexity to it demonstrated by her beautiful facial expressions, movements, and the light shone behind and infront of her. I don't think anyone will ever know or understand what is going on and what is the deeper meaning though; that is to be kept tucked away in Lorde's creative, intricate mind. All I can say is that I will be keeping a close eye on Lorde, I think I can add her to my favourites list. Baby, be the class clown, I'll be the beauty queen in tears, it's a new art form showing people how little we care (yeah) | We're so happy even when we're smiling out of fear, let's go down to the tennis court and talk it up like, yeah (yeah)
